A big thanks to the London Short Film Festival for putting us on the bill on Thursday. Great crowd, and always a pleasure for such a rad festival. The Rich Mix happens to be an old stomping ground of mine, from my days as programmer for the Short Film Sessions, so it was great to hold up in Screen One for the evening. Catching up with familiar faces, cast and crew, along with the paying audience, it doesn’t get much better… LONG LIVE SHORT FILM!
Seeing the film on the biggest screen it’s reached, in full technicolour, backed up by the fantastic soundtrack by Brandon Jacobs himself, is a surreal experience; the build-up, the lockdown, a truly immersive experience in it’s intended space of the movie theatre.
A special mention goes out to the Cinema Man, and his girl for all their support. I have a genuine respect for their work ethic, and attention to detail. And as we stand, almost a year to the day from script-to-screen and we showed ‘em good!
For anyone interested in a piece of the pie, we still have a handful of tape cassettes ready to post out. Another thank you to those who have already snapped one up, the first batch are on their way to you (along with an extra surprise from myself for my appreciation).
